Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-28

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Revue. Revue is currently operated as a sole-proprietorship doing business as “Revue” in the United States. By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance

Using Revue (signing up, scanning a Revue counter sign as a diner, embedding a Revue short link, or placing a hardware order) means you accept these Terms. If you do not accept, do not use the service.

2. Service description

Revue is an AI-assisted Google review tool for restaurants. We provide:

  • A short link (revue.today/[your-code]) that takes diners through an AI-assisted review flow.
  • AI-generated review drafts (Gemini 2.5 Flash, with Anthropic Claude Haiku as a fallback). All AI assistance is bounded to 4–5 star reviews; 1–3 star reviewers write their own words without AI involvement.
  • Physical NFC + QR counter signs and sticker packs, shipped within the United States.
  • Pilot-period analytics and private feedback routing.

3. Eligibility

To use Revue as a merchant, you must:

  • Be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Have the legal authority to bind your business to these Terms.
  • Operate a restaurant or food-service business with a verifiable physical address in the United States.
  • Have a Google Business Profile (or be willing to create one).

4. Your account

  • Provide accurate, current information. Update it when it changes.
  • One Revue account per business location. Multi-location merchants will need a separate account per location during V1.
  • You may share account credentials within your business (e.g. manager + owner). You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Notify support@revue.today immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.

5. Subscription, billing, refunds, cancellation

5.1 Pro subscription

  • Price: $49 / month (USD), billed monthly via Stripe.
  • Free trial: the first 30 days are free.
  • Auto-renewal: after the trial, your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • Free tier: a permanent free tier is available with a usage cap (currently 50 review submissions per month per location).

5.2 Hardware

  • NFC Sticker Pack (3): $29 one-time, ships free within the contiguous United States.
  • Hardware orders are charged in full at order time and shipped within 3–5 business days.

5.3 Cancellation

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@revue.today. Your subscription remains active through the end of the current billing month, then stops renewing. We do not pro-rate on cancellation; you keep access for the rest of the month you have already paid for.

5.4 Refund policy

  • Hardware is non-refundable. NFC stickers are made-to-order and cannot be returned for refund. If hardware arrives damaged or defective, email support@revue.today within 30 days of delivery and we will ship a free replacement.
  • Early exit fee: Pro and Max subscribers who cancel during the first two months are charged a one-time $29 fee to cover the cost of hardware shipped at signup.
  • SaaS (Revue Pro / Max): within thirty (30) days of any monthly charge, you may request a prorated refund of unused time by emailing support@revue.today. After 30 days, the monthly charge is non-refundable, but you can still cancel to avoid future renewals.
  • The free trial converts into a paid subscription automatically. If you forget to cancel and are charged, the 30-day prorated refund window above applies to that first charge.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit, encourage, or pay for fake reviews, reviews of competitors, or reviews of businesses you do not represent.
  • Use Revue to impersonate any other person or business.
  • Scrape, automate, or attempt to abuse the customer-facing review flow.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract our source code, models, or prompt configuration.
  • Use Revue for any business not located in the United States.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.

7. Reviews policy

Revue is a writing assistant, not an incentive program:

  • We do not write reviews. The diner does. AI helps them get a first draft — they edit and submit on their own Google account.
  • We do not pay diners for reviews. We do not provide discount codes or any other incentive contingent on a review being posted.
  • We do not gate by rating. Diners who rate 1–3 stars have the same access to Google as diners who rate 4–5 stars.

See our FTC Review Policy for the full commitment.

8. AI disclaimer

Revue uses large language models (currently Gemini 2.5 Flash, with Anthropic Claude as a fallback) to draft reviews. AI-generated text is provided as a starting point; the diner is expected to edit it and is responsible for the final submitted content. We cannot guarantee:

  • That Google will not remove a given review (Google’s algorithms are outside our control).
  • That the AI will never produce undesirable output, despite our banned-vocabulary and anti-hallucination safeguards.
  • That review volume or rating will increase by any specific amount.

See our AI Disclosure for more detail on how the AI is constrained.

9. Trademark and intellectual property

  • The Revue brand, wordmark, website design, prompts, and model configurations are our property.
  • Your menu items, photos, business name, and other materials you provide remain yours. By using Revue, you grant us a limited license to process and display these materials for the sole purpose of operating the service.
  • You retain ownership of any review text written or edited by your diners. Revue does not claim ownership of user-generated review content.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Revue’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the lesser of (a) five hundred dollars (USD $500) or (b) the fees you paid to Revue in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.

Revue is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost goodwill, lost reviews, or removed reviews, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

Revue is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

12. Termination

  • By you: cancel any time as described in section 5.3.
  • By us, for cause: we may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraud.
  • By us, without cause: we may terminate any account with thirty (30) days notice by email. If we do, we will prorate-refund any prepaid Pro fees for time remaining.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Informal resolution first. Before bringing any formal claim, you and Revue agree to attempt to resolve the dispute by email for at least thirty (30) days. Most issues are resolved this way — email support@revue.today.

Binding arbitration. If informal resolution fails, any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in Delaware or by video conference, at the arbitrator’s discretion.

Class action waiver. You and Revue each agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.

Small claims carve-out. Either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court instead of arbitration.

14. Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes, we will email active merchants at least thirty (30) days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the new Terms.

15. Survival

Sections 6 (Acceptable use), 9 (IP), 10 (Limitation of liability), 11 (Disclaimer), 13 (Dispute resolution), and any other terms that by their nature should survive, will survive termination of your account.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms: email support@revue.today.

17. Summary

The short version, in plain English:

  2. Hardware (signs and stickers) are non-refundable but we replace defects at our cost.
  3. You can cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month.
  4. We do not gate reviews. We do not pay for reviews. We never auto-post.
  5. AI generates drafts; diners edit and submit on Google themselves.
  6. Disputes get resolved by email first, then AAA arbitration in Delaware.
